Paul Kix grew up in Hubbard and is a 2003 graduate of Iowa State. His first book, The Saboteur, was a No. 1 best-seller and optioned by Steven Spielberg. His new book, a work of memoir and historical nonfiction called,You Have to be Prepared to Die Before You Can Begin to Live, was named Amazon’s Top Book for May. Paul’s journalism has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, ESPN and GQ. He lives in Connecticut with his family.
