About The Dog Pack
The Dog Pack came from co-owners Amanda & Ellyn, and their wish to share the new releases they’re most-excited about with as many people as possible. To just pick one book each month, they are reading dozens of books months in advance to find one they feel they must share.
Often getting signed copies or signed book plates with each pick, we’re also sending readers a custom Dog Pack reading journal in their first delivery. Each month you’ll received a sticker sheet themed to the book selection to use in your journal.

Meet The Dog Pack Curators!
Owners Ellyn Grimm and Amanda Lepper are both graduates of the Ames High School Class of 2001. Ellyn holds a degree in English from Iowa State University, is a former middle school and high school English teacher, and is a mom of three. Amanda earned a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri, had a short-lived career as a newspaper journalist, and is the mom of four girls. Upon returning to Ames as young mothers, they bonded over a love of reading and community activism, and, over time, they dreamed up the idea that became Dog-Eared Books.
They’re the co-hosts of the podcast Bubbles & Books, where they chat about the two great things in life, books and Champagne! Often on the podcast they will host Dog Pack authors in their Poppin’ Off episodes. But if you love to laugh and hear people chat about books, this is the podcast for you!
