Dog Costume Contest

Dog-Eared Books and Treats on a Leash join forces again to bring you a Dog Costume Contest  at the farmer’s market!

In Tom Evans Plaza, our judges will score your pet’s costume on cuteness, originality, and personality. We’ll award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes as well as special prizes for best literary-inspired and best group costume.

Pre-registration before 10:30 AM is required. You can register via the button on this page or at our booth from 10 – 10:30 AM on the day of the contest. There is a five dollar entry fee to support Ames Animal Shelter.

Those who just want to enjoy a cute view are welcome to gently and lovingly applaud each dog as they pass. 🙂
