Transactions

Financial transactions are processed via Stripe. Online orders finalized with Stripe will charge your chosen method of payment as soon as checkout is completed. While we ensure that the connections to Stripe are properly secured, we have no control over how your information is stored or shared by Stripe, and encourage you to view the privacy policies of Stripe before engaging in any such transaction.

Transaction Currency and Product Pricing

Prices listed online are in USD, and transactions are processed in USD.

Personal Information

We collect and store our customers’ information at their discretion. This information may include home and/or business address(es), contact names, email addresses, phone numbers, communication preferences, and credit card information. All customer information collected online is done so on encrypted pages, and is sent to our business premises via encrypted means to be stored locally. Locally stored data on the Dog-Eared Books premises is not encrypted, with the exception of credit card information which is encrypted. All customer information is accessible only by staff.

The information we collect at the time of checkout or account creation is used for order fulfillment, communications about orders or purchases, and for verifying shipping or payment details.

We do not provide our customers’ information or activity to third parties for analytical/marketing/advertising use.

Shipping

Items are shipped via USPS. We offer no guarantee on the speed of those deliveries, but generally they follow standard mail timelines.

Refunds & Exchanges

In store credit for all purchases valid for 30 days after purchase. All items must be in original condition (unused & unread).

Web Browsing

Our website is powered by WordPress, and uses cookies to allow users to remain logged in. Any information gathered remains within our WordPress system and is only used by Dog-Eared Books for analysis and marketing purposes.
