Illustrator J. Yang at Ames Public Library

Dog-Eared Books is proud to offers sales of If You’re a Kid Like GavinThe Good Hair Day, illustrated by J Yang books as part of the Ames Public Library hosting J Yang for Pridefest 2024. Pre-order a copy of If You’re A Kid Like Gavin and The Good Hair Day to pick up the day of the event at the Ames Public Library. A limited number of books will be available the day of the event on September 14, 2024.

J will be conducting both a Family Story time at 10:30 AM (1st floor story time room) and then an Adult Artist Talk  talking about his process from 11:10 AM – 12:00 PM (Danfoss room, 2nd  floor) at the Ames Public Library.

J Yang is an illustrator. They grew up in NYC and moved to Ames in 2021! The sky is big here and it’s fun to see horses. J works in children’s illustration, and fosters rabbits, along with permanent pets shrimp, gecko, and snake. His work often has queer themes, brought to life in a fun and colorful way!
